I made this cake for my son’s 18th birthday party and now I’m showing you how to make a chocolate bar cake.
I have made and sold holiday cakes and cookies in the past and my friends and family loved them, some of which I shared on my blog.
I actually stopped making regular cakes a few years ago, so my cake making skills were very low when I made this dreamy chocolate cake for my son’s birthday. .

All you need is a chocolate cake, some chocolate frosting and a chocolate band to cover the entire cake!!
I just bought chocolates and my son’s favorite chocolates and I was expecting enough!
That said, I’m going to give you the most recent recipe I used to give you a better guide to making this chocolate cake than my ratchet recipe!
(I stacked two large Tesco chocolate cakes on top of each other, no need for support between the layers.)
