Deputy wanted to design a living space that would be suitable for a 10-year-old, but didn’t want to stray too far from the minimalist, white-walled aesthetic of the rest of the house. He found a happy medium in the coat of headspace on the ceiling. It adds a subtle pop of personality without having floor-to-ceiling color. “He loves to ‘introduce’ and I loved the idea of lying in his bed and looking at this soothing teal color,” she says. “We decided to drop the paint and create a small border to give it a little more visual interest.”
