Easter Gift Ideas For 6 Year Old Boy – When I fill my Easter basket, I always include a book, school work, summer shoes, water toys, and candy. I can also add pajamas, a bathing suit, a toy, or a new toy. Having these categories in mind always makes it easier for me when I put things together for my boys’ Easter baskets each year. When looking at these categories, I also try to buy things that reflect spring and summer. Whether it’s an ocean book or outdoor toys, I use our Easter basket to get our home excited and ready for all of our spring and summer activities. I bought this year for my almost 5 year old, 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old. Below, I’ve collected ideas for babies, 5-year-olds, and beyond!
My Amazon store has links to our favorite Easter books. Here are some other books we love that are perfect for an Easter basket:
Easter Gift Ideas For 6 Year Old Boy
I like to include educational activities in my boys’ Easter baskets because it ensures that I’m not just wasting money on junk. I’ve linked below to activities we like to do at home, but you can just grab some coloring pages and some new colored pencils. Speaking of crayons, how fun are these glitters? I am always in favor of making homeschooling fun! This year, use your child’s Easter basket as a reason to stock up on art supplies and pack some homework assignments!

These $17 water shoes from Target are perfect for my boys to hit the pool with this summer. I gave the boys lightweight rain boots last year and they still love them! Other great summer shoe options include Natives, Floafers, Chus, Keds, and Sun Sans.
At the end of summer we lost most of our pool toys so I’m still stocking up on our water guns, water balloons, diving toys and splash balls for Easter. My boys are totally obsessed with water balloons. I’ve linked to a small package below, but I actually picked up a large package of each at Costco. We plan to spend a lot of time in the pool this summer. My big ones will spend most of their time with goggles on their eyes, diving for games! My youngest will be sitting on the stairs with me and I think he will love the animals splashing and eating.
While the categories above help me stay organized and intentional, there are tons of options for your child’s Easter basket. If you’re shopping for a baby, pick up teething toys, a rattle, and a stuffed bunny. For your older child, bubbles, toys, toys and chalk are ideal basket fillers. This year my boys will have Woah Dough in their basket with Let’s Go Fishin’! I’ve linked below to articles for boys and girls, babies and preschoolers.
I hope these ideas make your Easter basket shopping easier this year! Click on the images to shop or use the ideas for inspiration! We gave the Star Wars cast and National Geographic books to publish, but it’s Star Wars and Nat Geo. Everything else was paid for by us and all the items rocked the boy’s Easter basket like nobody’s business.
None of our kids have seen Star Wars. However, they both love Star Wars, they already know Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and they know they want to see it as soon as possible – the only question is, in what order will it be shown in…?

Crayola pencils are legendary for children. This is one of those things that we always buy off-brand. If you buy non-Crayola crayons, they don’t color at all, you can’t even melt them to make a candle. 64-packs of Crayola crayons are great, but packs of eight basic Crayola crayons that you can get for less than a dollar will also keep kids entertained for hours.
He reads texts he hasn’t seen before, but sometimes he needs a break. You Read, I Read, Level 1 books from National Geographic Kids are perfect for reading now. On the left page there is a text that should be read by an adult. The text is smaller than the other page, the right page has slightly more difficult words and new vocabulary that a young reader can learn.

A real Hot Wheels car is always in our gift pile. One of the best gifts we received at our first children’s show was a set of 5 Hot Wheels cars, and we still have those cars. A single Hot Wheels will cost around 0.95 at big box stores. If we see them for less than 0.85, we always grab a few for emergency gifts. This is the best $1 you’ll spend on a baby boy gift. Witness this early 70’s classic that I got as a kid. It’s still riding large and kids are playing with it 40 years later.

We’re a little biased about this category, but comics make a great gift anytime. Put a single issue of Action Cat & Adventure Bug, Spongebob Comics, Scooby Doo or other great comics for all ages in their basket and you have a happy child who may soon gravitate towards reading books without pictures.
Your local store has lots of great deals to pack into a boys Easter basket. Your local store also has a few things we never buy there for the kids. Don’t ever buy pencils there, they look good but don’t paint well at all. Some toys are made of really cheap plastic, be careful. Our local store also has cute Mickey Mouse and Simpsons figures to play with at a great price.
The dollar store is where we go for books, stickers, party decorations, and seasonal items. You can’t go wrong with any of these four items in your Easter basket.

I’m all for treats and sweets during the holidays.
