I’ve done a few book tours in the past and wanted to share my 3 year old’s favorite books (currently.) Books make great gifts and with Easter fast approaching now is a good time to get some for your child’s Easter basket! At the time of this post, Amazon has many of their books on sale, buy 2 get 1 free. Now is a great time to stock up on children’s books for the holidays or birthdays. Consider ordering a new book for your family and even gifting a book to a friend or family member.

The Book Without Pictures. I forgot how much my son loved this book and my daughter memorized most of it. It’s amazing how much fun words are, despite the fact that there are no pictures! BJ Novak also read his book on Facebook Live last month and I watched his lecture three times. My daughter is a big fan.

Halloween Books We Love In Our Montessori Home

The book on the bed. This is fun to read and the pictures are cute. Being a board book makes it great for all ages and this has been a collection since my son was 2 or 3.

Good Night Numbers by Danica McKellar. This book was one of the books mailed through Dolly Parton’s reading program. (My daughter gets a free book every month!) I just realized it’s printed as a board book, which would be great, but it’s so much fun to read.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. This has been a favorite for some time. We have it as a board book and I think we also have it in hardback. I dare you not to smile as you read this with your preschooler. (This is part of the buy 2 get 1 sale.)

When God made the world. This is a new release and new to our range of Bedtime Books. The illustrations are fantastic and the story is so good for so many ages. (Another book that’s part of the buy 2 get 1 sale.) I’ve talked about this book a few times and all of Matthew Turner’s books are part of the sale. We have them all and have given children to our preschools and kindergartens for the past year. They are really sweet stories.

Best Books For 3 Year Olds To Read Aloud (everyone Will Love!)

10 little fingers and 10 little toes. This is a fun shop and a very quick read. It’s a paperback book so it looks bigger than it actually is and we read this SO OFTEN. I memorized most of it.

Panda Bear Panda Bear, what do you see? Another book I memorized the most. This has been part of our collection since about 2012. My daughter also remembered a good part and can tell when I’ve skipped a page (usually by accident!) This is also part of purchase 2 , get 1 sale.

How do dinosaurs say happy birthday? I read this a lot because my 3 year old? Well, she is about to turn 4 years old. She loves questions and despite the fact that we spent our birthday at home with very few people, she is very excited about her big day. ABC and 123: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers This is not a new book. It was published in 1998 and I think we got it second hand for our son. My daughter is obsessed with it. We read a few letters each night and go over the different words that start with each letter. It’s less than $10, not part of Prime, but totally worth the money. I highly, highly recommend it. Although they may not be able to read and understand everything in the book, they can imitate you and learn a few words and phrases as well. Besides, it’s a great idea to instill a love of books in children from a young age, and these fascinating picture books provide a suitable way to do so.
