Easter Basket Ideas For 9 Month Old – I’ve been looking forward to making Henry’s first Easter basket since he was born! He arrived a few days after Easter last year, and although he will be over a year older this year, this is his first Easter!

This post will share what goes into Henry’s first Easter basket as well as some kid ideas I found!

You’ll notice that most of the items on this list are not “Easter” toys, books, etc. I chose things that can be used all year round.

Faith Based Easter Baskets For Kids

I don’t want to spend a lot of money on an Easter basket full of gifts that are useless or useful – everything on this list has a purpose. It is educational, promoting language or literacy development or strengthening motor skills etc. Other things you can buy – like teeth, pumpkins, plates, bowls, etc. – but in a cute spring design!

There are over 50 ideas so I’ve categorized them: bags and other accessories, toys, utilities, books, clothes, seasonal items and thrift items. Book just what you need!

Instead of spending $10-15 on a beautiful Easter basket that will only be used in a year, I would use one of these options like Henry’s “basket” and put his goodies inside!

I tried to list toys for all ages from newborn to one year and beyond! Many have an Easter or spring theme, others are just little toys your child will love!

Hanging toys are a great choice for kids to help develop hand-eye coordination! You can hang them on car seats, strollers, play mats, etc.

If your baby is very young (1-3 months) I suggest including some black and white toys in his bag! This is a great set of picture cards.

If you don’t have a set of bowls yet – you need one! I didn’t understand what the announcement meant until we owned these, but Henry has already found so many creative ways to play with these and I know he’ll continue to find more even after becoming parents!

I loved the lightweight style teethers because they were so easy for Henry to hold on to! It’s perfect for Easter baskets and also comes in blue and pink.

This is a great way for you kids to learn “painting”! Kids can use the special water pen to reveal hidden pictures, then the water dries and makes the picture disappear so it can be used again and again!

Egg-shaped crayons are perfect for kids to color at first! They’re large, so they’re easy to hold and won’t break as your child learns to use them.

Magnets are great for developing motor skills! Henry loves playing with our fridge magnets while I cook! Beautiful, simple, wooden magnets! An inexpensive mini set from Melissa & Doug is great too!

Of all the Henry “Curve” toys, this is my favorite! It plays classical music so it is not too annoying to listen to and is perfect for people on the go.

This would make a better gift for an Easter basket, but I love open-ended toys like this and I know Henry will have years of playing with these!

These are great to keep in your diaper bag when you go out to eat! They help keep germs away from your baby and make cleaning easier.

I use this reusable baby food container to give Henry smoothies and it’s amazing because it expands and he can feed himself! I highly recommend it!

These are the best shoes for little ones and last well! There are lots of different colors to choose from for boys and girls.

Henry began to enjoy this series of books when he was about nine months old. She likes to turn the pages alone and feel the different colors.

We have several Little Quakes books and Henry loves them. A perfect combination of cute ducks, bright pictures and just words on one page. I love that they are a board book and promote different concepts like the alphabet, reading, or reverse!

This is a fun book for kids to listen to too – especially if you sing to it πŸ˜‰ It’s great for introducing math concepts as they grow up, too!

Thick soft books are great for babies! They were the only things that could keep Henry comfortable in his car seat for some time. I think kids love them because each page has something new and exciting! There’s even a board book series if you want.

How good are the pictures in this book? This book teaches some facts about chickens in a sweet way.

There are a lot of crack readers in my class and Henry is interested in them. I love the holiday books he makes because he can turn the pages himself and it’s like touch and feel!

This is not an Easter book, but it tells a story about animals who are trying to teach a chicken to dance. On each page you can make a different animal “dance” by dragging a button. Henry loved this book and I highly recommend it!

Easter Basket Ideas For Toddlers & Little Kids

Stuffed animals can help children develop language, social skills, and emotional regulation! And of course they also give a feeling of warmth!

It can be hard to find the best baby food that is safe for babies! Everything listed below is safe for babies (under adult supervision) and delicious!

Sun hats are essential for protecting children from the sun in spring and summer! I love this hat display for girls and it’s a great option for boys!

Baseball caps can also be great for keeping the sun out of baby’s eyes! A great choice for girls!
