Put Your Face On Someone Else Body – I live in someone else’s body. I’m trying to make myself into someone I’m not and I feel like everyone knows I’m a fraud. The pressure is too much for me to handle. This is often a symptom of imposter syndrome. Personally, I had this syndrome earlier this year, and without realizing what it was.

Over the summer I was nominated for a leadership fellowship and jumped at the chance. I knew that gaining experience in other areas such as public speaking would be great for me, and I was thrilled when I was accepted into the program. However, soon after I celebrated, things started falling apart for me. I started comparing my performance to the students I was with and I fell short of each one.

As the program progressed, I felt like I was falling while others were growing. Even though I tried to attend events and do what was asked of me, I felt like I didn’t belong.

The important thing to remember about the whole experience is that the feelings I had were temporary. Imposter syndrome is fairly common in all people, and fortunately, it can be overcome. The first step in combating imposter syndrome is to recognize that it is happening to you. This can happen in a number of ways, such as realizing that you refuse to share ideas because you automatically assume they are bad, or constantly comparing yourself to those around you. This process is often the hardest aspect because it’s easy to lose sight of yourself when dealing with imposter syndrome.

The next step is to take a moment to give yourself credit for every success you’ve had in the past and what’s yet to come. Validating your successes can boost your confidence and finally get you out of the mindset that keeps you lying. This syndrome can make you feel like you’re just meant to be here, or that you don’t deserve what you have, but you do! After reading this blog post, hopefully you can take home the fact that people see the hard work you put in, and you should give yourself credit too. Its action and development is up to us.

He gained 10 pounds overnight? As I discuss at length in this post, this is a physical impossibility. But what about the old adage that a camera adds 10 pounds? Is that true? Why might we look so heavy in one photo and not in another? Even if those photos were only taken a few days or even a few moments apart?

Try this fun experiment: take two selfies. A shot from the level of your navel and the camera is focused on your face. Then hold the other camera above your head and angle it down toward your face. How different is your face in these two pictures?

Another thing to note about the first photo: the lighting caused a filter on my camera, so my skin looks smoother. In photo B (right), notice two things: I’m holding the camera higher than my face and angling it down. My face is also angled to one side. A completely different look!

So, Nc From Now On, But What Are My Chances?

And it works for the body too. I look bigger when the camera is up. When the camera is held up and slightly angled to my body, I look thin. And Lord forbid I raised the camera from a low position to photograph my body!

In these photos you can see where I hold the camera and how it affects my look. In photo A (left), I’m holding the camera almost at waist level…and suddenly my hips, stomach, and even my face look huge. In picture B (right), I suddenly lost at least 10 pounds!!!

Again, the camera angle is really important! When I hold the camera straight up against the top, I instantly lose 10 pounds from my stomach and face!

Appearance also plays a role. Most of us know that we were trained by our friends in high school to always stand up and stick your chin out when someone takes your picture.

In the first photo below, I’m taking the shot with my body slightly angled. You can see my stomach is bigger from the two pictures below. In the second, I take one at a more right angle to my body. In the third photo, I’m angled to the right, so it’s a side shot. It’s very easy to see how my “weight” changes appearance depending on the angle.

Have you noticed that most Instagram fitness models take photos with their bodies angled in one direction? but. Camera angle is important and so is your body angle!

If you are prepared/aware that someone is taking pictures. Some people like candid photography. I am not one of those people. I always seem to look stupid or the camera angle is wrong for my “short and fat” body.

What you’re wearing Try this experiment the next time you’re at Target. Get a pair of high-waisted jeans that fit comfortably, but are a bit tight (usually high-waisted “skinny jeans”). Then get a pair with low-slung hip-huggers, which are a bit more baggy. Try them out. Which of these makes you proud? I’d rather baggy low-slung hip-huggers add 10 pounds!

Lighting. Lighting can make all the difference in how your skin looks. Believe it or not, very bright light makes the skin less prone to blemishes and wrinkles. Darkness often creates or enhances shadows, wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes.

Time of day/month/year. My stomach is often “flatter” when I wake up in the morning. At the end of the day, I have a little Buddha thing going on. why gathering Depending on what and how much I ate, hydration status, PMS, and many other factors, my pants are usually tighter at the end of the day or at certain times of the month. And it can be seen in the picture.

Filter. The filters available on phones and Instagram can do some amazing things for your skin. My “selfie skin” is very different from the skin I see in the mirror…my real skin…with wrinkles and age spots and cellulite.

Photoshop. There are some very sophisticated programs available that can change everything about your body, from your eye and hair color, to your height and breast size. There are even free apps that can do that, like one I downloaded on my phone that allowed me to make my waist smaller and my breasts and hips bigger. I really was
