Cake Designs For 12 Year Old Boy – If there’s anything that proves baking is as much an art as it is a science, it’s the silver birthday cake.

In a creative bit of gifting, Queensland mum Maree contacted Charlie’s Cupcake Factory to surprise her 12-year-old son, Cooper, with money saved in the place he wanted, his birthday cake.

Cooper certainly wasn’t expecting to find a treasure buried in a dessert, but baker Charles, 33, certainly didn’t disappoint.

“Oh!” Cooper said carefully pulling out the lid of the ‘Happy Birthday’ cake, getting more excited as he saw the money starting to come out, apparently limiting it. See above.

“From where?!” Cooper is almost crying with joy when he stands back to allow the room to play money.

The sweet idea for Cooper’s birthday cake came from his mother, Maree, who contacted Charlie at Toowoomba-based Charlie’s Cupcake Factory to bring the vision to life.

Charlie, who has been a chef by trade for 13 years and started his bakery almost two years ago after welcoming his third child, is up for the challenge.

Like a classic Barbie doll cake, after Maree dropped the cash roll – all the notes were safely in a small plastic lolly bag, secured with ribbon and tape – Charlie sat the roll on top of the first row to get it to the right size, cut a hole in it and put the roll at.

Then, he placed each layer on top of the cake, cutting a strip through each layer so that the roll could be removed.
