Obviously, electronics are big for this age group. For this list, I’ve decided to focus mostly on tech-related items because it’s easy to see what video games or gadgets are on your kids’ list!

Models – When purchasing models, keep in mind that some of them require painting and glue, while others do not. We have had great success with our Maisto assembly line models. These models come pre-painted and assembled. My son was happy with this as he was interested in showing the car and not necessarily during the build. Some kids may enjoy drawing models, but he doesn’t want to mess it up!
Hot Wheels/Matchbox – Some kids love to collect Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. At this stage, the make and model of the car, does not drive them to the ground. 🙂
Gift Ideas For 10 To 13 Year Old Boys
We love the Star Wars Black Series 6-inch figure. They are so detailed and vibrant! Since these are sought after by collectors, prices on Amazon are all over the place, but the list price is usually $19.99. I prefer to pay $15 in sales.
Lego – Some kids never outgrow Lego, so this may still be an option. LEGO Technic sets offer more building challenges for older kids, although my boys still enjoy regular LEGO sets because of the little things. Lego Technic sets have movable parts and some are complete sets. I was impressed how the mechanisms resembled real cars!

Lego architecture sets are also fun for older kids. Create realistically detailed models of landmarks such as the London skyline.
